Dr. Laverdure is a board-certified family practice physician and the medical director at the Lac Vieux Desert Health Center. Her medical interests include preventive health, cancer disparities in Indigenous communities, quality improvement, and hosting preceptor medical students. She provides care for everyone, children to adults. She has been practicing for 30 years caring for patients with chronic illnesses, acute care, and performing annual physicals, home visits, and hospice care.
Dr. Laverdure is an accomplished physician receiving the Indian Health Service Rookie of the Year award in 2001 and the Wisconsin Family Practice Physician of the Year award in 2002. Dr. Laverdure is an enrolled member of the Turtle Mountain Chippewa tribe in North Dakota. She is married and has 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Her hobbies include spending time with her family and fishing.
