Mia graduated from the Michigan College of Optometry in 2021 and has been practicing full scope medical optometry in the Lower Peninsula, though she is a proud Yooper.
She practices primary care optometry, fits spectacle lenses and specialty contact lenses, and treats a variety of ocular diseases and conditions. She has experience treating glaucoma, managing diabetic retinopathy, managing cataracts, and treating dry eye disease, as well as treating ophthalmic emergencies.
One of her passions is pediatrics. She completed a clinical rotation in Vision Therapy and hopes to incorporate it into her practice someday. Mia is a registered InfantSEE provider, meaning she offers free comprehensive screening exams for all infants ages 6 months to 12 months old. She treats patients of all ages. She recommends getting a comprehensive eye exam at least annually.
In her free time, Mia enjoys living in the country with her cat and three dalmatians and enjoying the beauty of the UP. She recently began deer hunting and ice fishing. She participates in many recycling programs and works hard to be environmentally friendly and a voice for animals.
